Services
In The Parish of Handsworth
St Mary’s

Sunday

8.00am
Holy Communion – Book of Common Prayer (1662) – at the Church of St Mary

A quiet and reflective service based on the glorious work of Archbishop Cranmer.

11.00am
The Parish Eucharist – at the Church of St Mary

The Principle service of the week in the Parish. Using a range of resources from Common Worship (2000) we meet with God and one another in liturgy, all-age worship, learning together and sharing bread and wine.

This service continues into coffee and a less-formal time together.

During the current Covid-19 situation, these are all on Face Book Live Stream at https://www.facebook.com/stmaryshandsworth and then on You Tube at St Mary’s Handsworth Live Stream.

5pm
Evensong – in the Chancel of St Mary’s Church

Held monthly on the second Sunday of the month (except December when it is replaced by Lessons & Carols on the Sunday nearest Christmas). This is the distinctive service from the Book of Common Prayer and the responses, psalm and hymns are usually sung by the congregation. Occasionally, a visiting choir sing the service for us.

Weekdays

Morning and Evening Prayer are generally said in the Wyrly Chapel.

The times for these two 30 minute services are published in the Church Notices.

Other services as announced and advertised.
